Secret Knives Announces New Album + Shares Single 'Spinning Top'

Pōneke's Secret Knives aka Ash Smith made a triumphant return in early August with his sparkling and sonically adventurous single 'Snuff'. It now turns out that song is the title track to an entire new album of tunes dropping in October via trailblazing local imprint A Low Hum, with a limited cassette edition coming out from Prison Tapes – the guitar-pop artist's first long-player since his 2010 breakthrough album Affection. Proving that when it rains it truly pours, physical cassette copies of Snuff will include a download code for a bonus digital-only collection titled Ashley Smith’s Blue Period, presenting "exploratory ambient instrumentals written alongside Snuff". To get you even more hyped for the artist's forthcoming album, Secret Knives has also unveiled the record's lush second single 'Spinning Top', a slowly unfolding anthem you can stream right here...

'Snuff' releases digitally on Tuesday 22nd October via A Low Hum and on limited edition cassette (with bonus collection 'Ashley Smith’s Blue Period') via Prison tapes, preorders are available here.
