Oamaru's The Trendees Cover Kim Gordon's 'Air BnB' + Video

Oamaru no wave icons The Trendees have unleashed a skronked-up cover of Kim Gordon's excellent recent single 'Air BnB', just ahead of this Friday's release of the Sonic Youth co-founder's first ever solo album No Home Record. Documenting their hometown's suburban landscape as viewed from the interior of a moving car, the noisy trio's video offers a sly Southern spin on Gordon's minimal clip for the superhost-loving anthem – or as they deftly put it: "this video is real." You can experience Trendees' take on 'Air BnB' alongside the original below, and catch them playing at Auckland's Whammy Backroom on Thursday 24th October with N.T.
