Nadia Reid Announces New Album + Shares Single 'Best Thing'

A.K. / Wednesday 4th December, 2019 10:12AM

Dunedin folk favourite Nadia Reid has announced her third album Out Of My Province and shared the powerful first single today. Her highly praised 2017 sophomore album Preservation set off a domino effect of international touring, a spot on Later…with Jools Holland, and eventually connecting with US label Spacebomb, who brought Reid over to Virginia to begin recording the new collection, produced by Trey Pollard (Foxygen) and Matthew E. White (The Mountain Goats). The first peek at Out Of My Province is 'Best Thing', a driving, unstoppable force of a song about "relationships, childhood and nostalgia ... intimate love and about the love between a mother and a daughter". The desaturated Charlotte Evans directed clip grounds the track in Reid's tūrangawaewae, the beautiful gems of Ōtepoti, reiterating themes of home and memory, adorned with flashes of protea, orchids and oceans. Experience the unwavering new tune from Nadia Reid and get excited for Out Of My Province due out March 2020...
