Aotearoa producer Leonard Charles aka Jeremy Toy (She's So Rad) and Detroit rap royal Guilty Simpson are The Leonard Simpson Duo, following up their killer Marlon Williams-sampling cut 'Nobody' in 2020 with hyper-catchy new track 'My Inspiration'. Sampling another New Zealand music icon Citizen Band, the latest drop is doused in the punchy piano and jazz-rock of the group's 1977 stunner 'In A Lifetime', overlaid with Simpson's lyrical mastery painting a picture of the highs and lows of Detroit living. The magic collab have their full collection of '60s and '70s psychedelia influenced creations L.S.D. out at the end of this month, and the new track is delivered to your ears alongside a gorgeous MC Blue Matter animated clip.
