Leaping Tiger Announces ‘Porcelain Orca Whales’ Album Release Shows

C.C. / Friday 17th January, 2020 9:45AM

Tāmaki Makaurau electronic producer (and bass player) Leaping Tiger is hitting the ground running in early February, with release parties for his excellently titled debut album Porcelain Orca Whales. Leaping Tiger turned heads with back to back killer single releases in 2019 (including student radio smash 'Screw Face' featuring Church & AP, Disciple Pati and JY Lee), 2018's Cool Down EP and specially curated Leaping Tiger & Friends events. The high flying 21 year old artist will be joined live by buds Imugi 이무기, PollyHill and Dropkicks, and recently released a stylish range of must-cop merchandise in support of Australian fire relief. Dropping on 24th January, we had an advance listen to Leaping Tiger's sonically adventurous long player and can confirm the wait has 100% been worth it – he opened up about how Porcelain Orca Whales came together...

"After realising I had a few tracks that worked really well together I decided to just go for it and work towards a full album. The album took quite a while to make just to make everything as good as I could get it to be."
