Watch Tim O'Brien & Jan Fabricius Play 'Little Annie'

Tāmaki Makaurau's long-running celebration of folk music in all its multitudinous stripes, Auckland Folk Festival is nearly back again – taking over Kumeu Showgrounds for three days this coming long weekend, with a sprawling lineup of local and international talents. Acts gracing the stage for the festival's 47th year include Canadians Scott Cook, Gordie Tentrees and five piece group Rosier, Celtic band Keeva, Ireland's Andy Irvine and Pauline Scanlon (with band), and Aotearoa favourites Ebony Lamb (of Eb & Sparrow) and Me, Everybody. Right at the top of this year's bill is 2014 Grammy Award-winning country / bluegrass singer and multi-instrumentalist Tim O'Brien, who'll be playing with partner and regular collaborator Jan Fabricius – experience a taste of the magic to come, with footage of the duo performing a moving rendition of traditional song 'Little Annie', rattled off live at the West County Farmhouse in California...
