As Ohio indie rock icons The National's return to Aotearoa looms ever closer, Matt Berninger and the gang have unveiled a majestic cover of INXS' lighter-raising classic ballad 'Never Tear Us Apart'. The Grammy Award-winning group's single is the latest track revealed from Songs For Australia, a fundraising covers compilation for organisations supporting Australian bushfire relief – Firesticks, Landcare Australia, SEED, Emergency Leaders for Climate Action, WildArk and NSW RFS – releasing in early April and including contributions from such heavy hitters as Kurt Vile, Martha Wainright and Joan As Police Woman, organised by songwriter Julia Stone.
