Watch Thundercat's Video For 'Dragonball Durag'

Los Angeles funk / jazz / fusion hero Thundercat aka Stephen Lee Bruner has dropped a Zack Fox-directed video for 'Dragonball Durag', the super catchy, smooth-grooving latest teaser for his forthcoming album It Is What It Is. The snappy-dressing artist gets fun and frisky in the clip – heartwarming visuals of Thundercat wearing his brand new durag (found in the trash) and on the prowl for love match the song's carefree and lusty vibes, with Bruner tenderly imploring "baby girl how do I look in my durag?" The new record features guest contributions from Kamasi Washington, BADBADNOTGOOD, Louis Cole, Zack Fox, Ty Dolla $ign and the Based God himself Lil B, with even Childish Gambino aka Donald Glover making an appearance. A bevy of stars pop up in the video at various point too, including Kali Uchis, HAIM and comedian Quinta Brunson. He shared the following hot tip with his fans in a statement...

“The durag is a superpower, to turn your swag on… it does something, it changes you... If you have one in the wardrobe, think about wearing it tonight, and it may pop off because you never know what’s going to happen.”
