Soft Plastics Unveil Two Song Self-Titled Debut

Soft Plastics Unveil Two Song Self-Titled Debut

C.C. / Monday 23rd March, 2020 1:23PM

Emerging Pōneke garage-pop trio Soft Plastics, the collaborative project of Sophie Scott Maunder (Beatcomber), Jonathan Shirley and Laura Robinson, have put their best feet forward with a fuzzy hook-packed two song debut – recorded, mixed and mastered by Oliver Devlin (Hans Pucket). First track 'I Love My Wife' is eerily prophetic in light of our suddenly socially distanced era, sporting such wistful lyrics as "I don't care what people say, I just don't want to be on my own now" over crunchy chugging guitars and spellbinding synth lines, while spikier second tune 'Smokes Let's Go' delivers plenty of bite. They've had several shows cancelled due to Covid-19, don't be scared to show Soft Plastics your love via purchasing a download of the EP via Bandcamp...
