Womb Return With Single 'Used To Be' + Announce New Album

A new Womb single is a glorious thing to wake up to, made even better by the announcement of their sophomore album Under The Lights. The Pōneke sibling trio sound ethereal as ever on 'Used To Be', and lead vocalist Charlotte Forrester's voice cuts through a little clearer and a little bolder than on their dearly loved debut LP Like Splitting The Head From The Body. Masters of minimalism, Womb illicit vast emotion through stripped back guitar, keys and Georgette Brown's sparse percussion, with big feelings lyrics like "Was it a mistake to lay you down in retrograde" and "We had to cut it off this time" creating a song much greater than the sum of its parts. Watch this space for Martin Sagadin's accompanying visuals for 'Used To Be', created with support from NZ On Air's New Music Single funding scheme, and sink into the audio here...
