Easter Weekend NZ Livestream Events Guide
With four full days of guaranteed guilt-free laziness on our hands, the wonderful Aotearoa music and events community have filled up the calendar with a wide range of exciting livestreams to bust out the carafe and get gussied up for.
Early this evening, and perhaps the perfect accompaniment to kneading your evening's sourdough, VMorg presents the second edition of their Live In Your Hands series with Alba Rose and Theo Salmon from Daffodils, followed up on Friday night by Live In Your Hands #3 with Pōneke songwriters Riiki and Eli Superflyy. For a couple of cruisy Friday and Saturday evenings, lock in Pukekohe duo Aro for part of their virtual Aotearoa tour, or see what takes your fancy of the six live acts on the Haus Arrest lineup.
Those in need of a boogie, DJs Regress and Pris are taking over the Sanctuary Events Twitch channel for Back To The 80s, an evening of "New wave, pop, synth-pop, new romantic, rock and of course, cheese!" - costumes are strongly encouraged. If 80s doesn't cut it, the following night Sanctuary takes an evil turn for Dark Disco. Think goth, post-punk and synth to get your heart racing. Jam On Toast: A Facebook Live Festival has grand plans for Saturday from 5pm - 10pm, featuring Ōtepoti artist and Auckland Live Best Independent Debut finalist Repulsive Woman, Tāmaki Makaurau rapper Mo Muse and stacks of other local talents before Australian headliners Terrence And Phillip DnB and Lime Cordiale end the evening of jams with a bang. Set up a couple of screens and you've got yourself a mini weekend world wide web festival.
