The Ministry Of Folk are cooking up a cockles-warming evening of Aotearoa folk and country songwriters at the Auckland Guide Hall late next month. Hosted by banjo and fiddle wranglers HOOP, attendees will be able to enjoy the show from 'cabaret-style' tables. Tāmaki Makaurau newcomer Sam Loveridge and his band are on the bill, delivering jazzy pop tracks from his album Clarity, fresh from wowing at this year's Auckland Folk Festival. And all the way from charming small town Geraldine (the home of Barkers preserves), award-winning wunderkind Foxtrots aka Zoe Scott is bringing her heartfelt songwriting talents to the table too. Take note of the details below...

Press Release:

The Ministry of Folk is the alternative acoustic music club - intimate performances in a beautiful old church hall halfway down Dominion Road in Mt Eden. With cabaret-style seating and BYO drinks, a splendid time is guaranteed for all. All proceeds to guest musicians.

In July, we are proud to feature Sam Loveridge: A young singer-songwriter and multi instrumentalist who was one of the standouts at the recent Auckland Folk Festival. Sam's debut album Clarity is out now and we look forward to hearing an energetic set from Sam and his excellent band.

Also appearing is Foxtrots aka Zoe Scott. In her short 19 years Zoe has been awarded many national and international awards. Foxtrots captivates audiences with her powerful, yet effortless voice with an emotional vulnerability beyond her years. Not to be missed

HOOP will host this event and present another diverse set of their original songs with banjo and fiddle adding to the folky pop vibe of the evening.

Easy parking. Address at 132 Grange Road
