Originally scheduled to be travelling our way in support of Tame Impala, Texan trio Khruangbin may no longer be playing in Aotearoa anytime soon due to Covid-19, but at least we have a lush new song to treasure in the form of 'Pelota'. A Latin rhythm-fuelled follow-up to their woozy student radio hit 'We Won't Forget' sung entirely in Spanish, 'Pelota' releases with fantastical visuals directed by Hugo Rodríguez Rodríguez – a playful animated flight of fancy bouncing off the sentiment "Soy una pelota," which translates in English to "I am a ball". Count the days for Khruangbin's new album Mordechai releasing in late June and experience 'Pelota' here...
'Mordechai' is out on Friday 26th June via Dead Oceans / Inertia Music.
