A small army of musicians based throughout Te Ika-a-Māui have converged on Covid Colab, a seven-track compilation from the minds of 33 Aotearoa music makers brought together by Wellington Museum’s Programme Developer Benjamin James during lockdown levels 3 and 4. The album is a lush, electronic experience, finding cohesion in the shared experience of uncertain isolation, featuring members of Bachelorette, Stef Animal, The Phoenix Foundation, Tiny Ruins, Electric Wire Hustle, French for Rabbits, Dawn Diver, Estère, Hans Pucket, and many more. The record is available to pocket digitally via Bandcamp and using handy irl coupons, and all payments for the limited run of vinyl LPs will go directly to the local venue or record store it's purchased from.
