IDLES Drop Single / Video 'A HYMN'
As the third studio album from Bristol's IDLES looms ominously on the horizon, the always outspoken team of vocalist Joe Talbot, Mark Bowen, Lee Kiernan, Adam Devonshire and Jon Beavis show their meditative side on new single / video double punch 'A HYMN'. A smouldering epic, the single moves from foggy drones to tense slo-mo post-punk grooves as Talbot sings "I want to be loved / Everybody does / I find shame gripped tight like your withering fame," threatening to explode before the song fades back into the horizon. The somewhat more lighthearted accompanying clip directed and edited by Ryan Gander walks a similarly tense tightrope through the UK's suburban streets – experience 'A HYMN' here and keep it locked for new long player ULTRA MONO's launch this coming September...
'ULTRA MONO' is out on Friday 25th September via Partisan Records / Liberator Music.
