K M T P 'P.S. C U Soon' EP Release Show Announced

K M T P 'P.S. C U Soon' EP Release Show Announced

Chris Cudby / Friday 7th August, 2020 9:33AM

Tamaki Mākaurau sterling songwriter Keria Paterson (b-lush, Polyester) is currently enjoying student radio success with their no-rules bedroom-pop hit 'Acting Out', plus the promise of K M T P's debut EP P.S. C U Soon (packing in even more caps than Bailterspace's B.E.I.P. CD EP) out in mid-August via Sunreturn Records. To mark the auspicious occasion of the six song collection's emergence into the world, Paterson will play a special launch party this month at the newly refitted (looking and sounding very swish) Whammy Backroom, supported by buds Chewy Gum and Babyteeth. K M T P will also be strutting their stuff on the Sunreturn Stage alongside a bevy of rising stars at The Others Way 2020 in September [tickets here] – get ahead of the throngs so you can tell everyone "I was there" at the date below...

Press release

K M T P's debut EP P.S. C U Soon will be released in early August via Sunreturn. To celebrate they'll be performing at Whammy Backroom with support from their friends Chewy Gum and Baby Teeth!

K M T P is the musical project of Keria Paterson, a musician and songwriter currently based in Auckland. Keria didn’t discover music at a particular point in their life, it was always there, whether it was attending Flying Nun gigs with family as a kid and starting to sing and play guitar and piano at an early age. At high school, they connected with other passionate musicians and added bass and keyboards/synths to his repertoire, as well as beginning to experiment with recording and live music production.

Before starting their own solo projects as K M T P, Paterson played with Auckland indie faves Polyester, as well as with Ethan Moore’s “bedroom stadium pop” project Dirty Pixels.

k m t p will release their debut EP P.S. C U Soon on August 14. The release has been a DIY labour of love that shows that Keria Paterson has talent to burn.
