Imagine if The Smiths weren't so miserable and had instead released a soul-tinged crooner album — that's the dreamy reality of Heat Rockers Records founder Matt Hunter's first full length collection under the Sterling moniker. Singles 'Seismic Commotion' and 'Scrambled Messages' introduced fans-to-be to his rich, treacly baritone, leaving us melting from the romance and JY Lee sax of it all. With all nine symphonies now out, I'm putty in the hands of Kenny Sterling, merely existing for the album's Holiday Records vinyl release this December.
