Lisa Crawley Shares Piano Ballad 'See Me Soon'

Annabel Kean / Friday 23rd October, 2020 1:58PM

Lisa Crawley has broken my heart and then pieced it back together in her shimmering new song 'See Me Soon'. Aotearoa-born but now LA-based, Crawley had touched down in her new Californian home away from home just two months before the whole world came grinding to a virus-induced halt. Don't worry, she's not alone, she's spent the time cooped up working closely with frequent collaborator and Grammy nominated producer Rob Kleiner, and 'See Me Soon' brings her 2020 singles tally up to four: 'Clear History', 'Show You What Love Is' and 'Tragedy Boy'. Naturally, the new track is "a love-letter to family and friends back home", inspired by the classic stylings of Randy Newman and with an air of Norah Jones' whimsical piano to it. Crawley has revealed her third album is on it's way, ready for release some time mid next year, and following up her gorgeous 2019 covers EP Songs I Like But Did Not Write Vol.1. Have a listen below as 'See Me Soon' soundtracks an animated tearjerker about a re-united duck family, and keep the sobs coming with a live performance of the song recorded at Hollywood's Btwn Musik Studios...

'See Me Soon' is out now via major streaming platforms.
