NahBo Drops Sophomore Rap Track 'Force'

NahBo Drops Sophomore Rap Track 'Force'

A.K. / Monday 9th November, 2020 12:32PM

"Astronesian native" NahBo is coming in hot with their second single in three weeks, following up fiery track 'Woof' with new brass and bass packed 'Force'. NahBo, the solo project moniker of Pōneke-based Taranaki Ah Young-Grace (Ngāti Ruanui / Ngāti Tūwharetoa), kept quiet their hot pipes in their debut, opting for lo-fi "soundcloud fuckboy" rap and beats, but unleash their vocal chops with a bang in the chorus for 'Force'. NahBo unravels elements of their identity in the verses, and explores their frustration with capitalism, introduced by Daria's definition of edgy, which is sampled in the first 30 seconds of the track. 'Force' is out now on Hayley Smith's (Dead Little Penny) label Empty Goon Records, listen below and read about the #inspo here...

"A man once warned me against becoming a trope in the form of a political jazz trap artist. So, naturally, I decided to lean into it. This one's dedicated to you, Big Guy™."

Nahbo's sophomore track 'Force' is out now via Empty Goon Records.
