Live Photos: Come Together -- Neil Young's Live Rust - The Opera House, Wellington
Lyttelton icon Delaney Davidson was one of the small army of local superstars playing the songs of Neil Young for Come Together to the delight of punters in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch late last week. Featuring such significant figures as Jon Toogood, Samuel Flynn Scott, Liam Finn, Dianne Swann and many more, rattling off Young's seminal 1979 record Live Rust, previous Come Together outings in late 2020 showcased similarly stacked lineups performing The Beatles' Abbey Road and Dire Straits' Brothers in Arms. Photography champ Bruce Mackay documented Friday's event in the opulent surrounds of Pōneke's The Opera House, and even snapped an ace pic of the artists striking a pose backstage, as well as the full setlist (which in fact concluded a mite early with 'Heart Of Gold').
