Listen To 'Hasji Meets Samara Alofa Harbourside'

The solo project of Tāmaki Makaurau's Bridge Shoebridge (95bFM DJ and member of sere, The Naenae Express), Hasji has announced the long awaited sequel to their 2017 debut Grove EP is set to drop in mid-March — launching via flawlessly curated Aotearoa / Te Moana Nui a Kiwa imprint Noa Records. Aptly titled Groves, Hasji (pronounced: ha *breathe in* shee *breathe out*) continues their exploration of the Gorge style of music which has roots in Nepal, India and Japan, and follows three specific rules: "1. Use toms / 2. Call it Gorge / 3. Don't call it art". Made under a Gorge Public License (GPL), fifty percent of profits from the release of Groves will be donated to Te Arawa River Iwi Trust. First taste from the new collection 'hasji meets samara alofa harbourside' is an absolutely enchanting, third-ear expanding collaboration with the aforementioned Alofa — here's Hasji's words on the forthcoming EP, which also features a contribution from local rap kingpin Shiraz ...

"i hope that everyone can find a place of okioki (rest) in this EP, as i have. a series of spaces to recharge and reflect, and to hold yourself and your close ones, amongst the multitudes. thank you 2 all the anahera around me fr" - Hasji

'Groves' releases on Thursday 18th March, preorders are available via Noa Records.
