Those with their finger on the pulse will know Aotearoa electronic artist Signer aka Bevan Smith (also of Introverted Dancefloor and Glass Vaults) has been releasing editions of his Isolated Dreams series of EPs onto Bandcamp at an impressively steady clip, since kicking off the low key project in October 2020. The world has opened up considerably in the months following and Signer's creative flow still feels uncontainable, with new collection EP07 notably featuring more tracks than any of the preceding six volumes. Presenting '256' in three parts plus a "redux", EP07 moves with a minimal grace recalling to these ears the balearic-tinged ambience of such key long-form works as Manuel Göttsching's 'E2-E4', or perhaps the textural dub-techno innovations of Basic Channel / Pole.
