I think it's quite the achievement writing a song that makes a clear reference to Covid in the first line of the first verse, while completely sidestepping any cringe or corniness in the process. Pōneke via Palmerston North songwriter shannengeorgiapetersen (fruit juice parade, Sports Dreams) sings "How far in the future will the buses sport those stickers" in her newest single 'Home Again 4', and I'm grateful to now have the perfect thing to listen to for when I'm hit with those pandemic blues. Shannen Petersen teased the track at the start of the week when she announced a double header winter tour with fellow emos Carb On Carb, during which she'll be joined for the first time with a backing band of "familiar faces".
