Vera Ellen Shares Single / Video 'YOU!' + Announces New Album
Flying Nun Records have struck while the iron's hot, signing pop-punk future icon Vera Ellen while she's still on home turf, and not at her LA second home making hits with the super cool Girl Friday crew. Her debut release on the legendary label will be LP It's Your Birthday, following Ellen's very very heartbreaking 2020 EP songs no-one should hear. The lead track 'YOU!' is a dangerously catchy piece of fast paced rock, likely coming from the "throes of love" and "heartbreak" portion of the album, which Vera Allen says chronicles "a story of where I was to where I am" from the past three or so years.
