Live favourites DOONS recently wrapped up a jam-packed summer tour celebrating the launch of their sparkling The Importance Of Being Indifferent EP, while Machray has already ascended the lofty heights of the SRN Top 10 charts, with with just two songs released so far. DOONS and Sofia Machray are joining forces on a winter tour. With both emerging Pōneke-based artists in the process of finishing new music, they’re bringing the best of the capital’s alternative scene to the whole country, through a 6-date tour.

Following the release of their sophomore EP ‘The Importance of Being Indifferent’, and their January 2021 debut nationwide tour, which featured sold out shows in in Auckland and Dunedin and 80% capacity shows in Wellington and Christchurch, DOONS are ready to hit the road again. With powerful vocals, elegant lead guitar and a potent rhythm section, sincerity reigns supreme through DOONS’ live set, which is sure to get people moving, and slot cleanly into any high energy lineup.

Sofia Machray will have you dancing with the daisies, stretching out over moody rockers and soft- burning hooks. Unmatched in her sonic field Sofia is an eclectic master of the sing-songwriter gone rouge, backed by her powerful 3-piece support band. After topping alternative charts in 2020 with her debut single Handstands and recently releasing new pearler Milky Ways, Sofia Machray is fast solidifying herself as a tactful, femme-led outfit in the forefront of New Zealand’s alternative scene.
