Ha The Unclear Announce Spring Tour of Aotearoa

Chris Cudby / Monday 30th August, 2021 11:01AM

Gifting us a whole bunch of good times to look forward to post-lockdown, Ha The Unclear have announced a whirlwind four date tour of Aotearoa for October and November. The Tāmaki Makaurau-based crew have had a productive winter, refining a new set of tunes that they're "fizzed up" to debut live — sporting such tantalising titles as ‘(We’re gonna die in a) Rented House’, ‘No Lemons in the Lemonade’ and 'Even Artichokes Have Hearts (So Why Don't You?)'. With their 2020 Threads EP out in the world and reissues on the way soon courtesy of French imprint Think Zik!, Ha The Unclear are all set to treat fans and newcomers alike to time-tested faves plus future classics too. Don't dare miss them at the dates below...

UPDATE: Due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, Ha The Unclear have cancelled their nationwide tour — the band shared the following words, promising new dates will be announced soon...

"Hey folks, unfortunately due to being unable to get out of or into Auckland we are having to cancel our upcoming dates in Dunedin, Auckland, and Wellington. We're truly sorry and thank you immensely to those who already bought tickets - @undertheradarnz will be in contact regarding refunds. We hope to schedule some new dates very soon so will keep you abreast of details as we get them.

Very heartening to see the vax numbers getting right up there, and we extend a massive thank you and kia kaha to everyone in level 3 zones for your lockdown sacrifices. Everyone you're doing so great, we'll catch you soon."

Press release:

This October and November Ha the Unclear are taking a twirl around the country with a fresh set, playing some favourites and incorporating new songs with curious titles like ‘(We’re gonna die in a) Rented House’, ‘No Lemons in the Lemonade’, and 'Even Artichokes Have Hearts (So Why Don't You?).

Last year the band released the ‘Threads’ EP featuring the single ‘Strangers’ and the Sylvia Massy/Tom Healy produced ‘Julius Caesar’. With wider re-releases soon to set sail via label Think Zik, a flurry of writing over the winter months has the band all fizzed up to share the stage.
