Hollie Smith Shares Single / Video 'What About' Ft. Raiza Biza

Aotearoa icon Hollie Smith takes the cake today as far as big music announcements go, with news of her first solo album since 2016 Coming In From The Dark and a brand new single featuring Raiza Biza. By no means one to rest on her laurels (and she could probably fashion a small bed out of those laurels), Smith has been touring up a storm with Fly My Pretties and summer festival appearances, featured on Raiza Biza's album A Summer In Retrograde, and just recently released te reo translation of her iconic track 'Bathe in the River / Kōrukutia' with Don McGlashan.

Solo album number four will be out in full late next month, but today we get to hear the follow up to title track 'Coming In From The Dark' (featuring New Zealand Symphony Orchestra!), 'What About', as well as a majorly moving, sepia-toned dance video, made with support from NZ On Air. As you might expect from a long-awaited Hollie Smith drop, 'What About' is a powerful and heavy slice of gospel, hip-hop and soul performance, with Smith and Raiza Biza questioning communication and relationships in their respective epic verses. Still to be shared from the big album drop are collaborations with Teeks and Sol3 Mio, but there's plenty to be lapped up before then...
