Watch The Bats Perform 'North By North' Live At The Flying Nun 40th Anniversary

Peering through the hazy mists of time all the way back to July 2021, when live shows in Aotearoa were thriving, Ōtautahi icons The Bats played a pearler of a set at Auckland Town Hall as part of the Flying Nun 40th Anniversary celebrations. While super city dwellers like myself are getting fidgety waiting for gigs to finally return, Flying Nun have treated us to splendid live footage of Robert Scott, Paul Kean, Kaye Woodward and Malcolm Grant performing their classic song 'North by North' (from 1987's Daddy's Highway) to a jam-packed crowd in the iconic venue, joined on stage by violinist Allen Starrett. The Bats described the clip as "Best looking and sounding live video of The Bats we've ever seen… and heard!"
