Listen To Lazy Fifty's New Album '2021: A LAZY ODYSSEY'
Gisborne rock trio Lazy Fifty invite you on a journey through time, space and guitar solos on their latest album 2021: A LAZY ODYSSEY. Out now online and on vinyl, the band's fourth studio album finds riff-heads Adrian Athy, Ryan Raggett (Ngati Kahangunu ki te Wairoa) and Ali Sochacki sounding bigger and better than ever, having recorded 2021: A LAZY ODYSSEY in Tāmaki's Roundhead Studios with production pro Greg Haver (known for his work with the Manic Street Preachers, Opshop and The Feelers). Vocalist and lead wailer Athy writes openly and earnestly on the album's nine epic tracks, including not one, but two songs inspired by crime drama Peaky Blinders, an exploration of social media on ‘Wait For Me’, and straight up love song 'No No No' for their hometown Gisborne-Tairāwhiti.
Lazy Fifty have been touring the album across the North Island already this month, and take on Hamilton and Okoroire this December to wrap up the 2021: A LAZY ODYSSEY celebrations. Grab yourself a ticket and press play on the latest offering from Lazy Fifty, an album that starts with an epic rock 'n' roll rendition of 2001: A Space Odyssey's main theme, Strauss' 'Thus Spake Zarathustra'...
