Asta Rangu Share Single / Video 'Too-Zooma'
Ōtepoti pop-rock foursome Asta Rangu unleash equal parts crunchy noise and charming melodies on 'Too-Zooma', the first single from their forthcoming debut album Entertainment. Written in London by Richard Ley-Hamilton (Males) and performed to perfection with band mates Julie Dunn, Josh Nicholls and Angus McBryde at Te Korokoro o te Tūī with recording guru De Stevens (Marlins Dreaming), 'Too-Zooma' heralds more powerful, punchy tracks to come on the full collection, set to drop later this year. To celebrate the new single, Asta Rangu are hitting the road next month with fellow Dunedin noisemakers Space Bats, Attack!, who are celebrating their own release Oort. Treat your ears to the latest guitar-pop stunner from Asta Rangu below, paired with a patchwork clip by Ley-Hamilton and McBryde, stitching together surreal clips from bizarre old films [content warning: flashing imagery]...
