Watch Ludus Perform 'Moving Places' Live At Flying Nun

A timely celebration of Aotearoa's exceptional live talent waiting in the wings for the Omicron wave to dry up, electronic artist Ludus aka Emma Bernard stars in the latest edition of Flying Nun's What Was That Thing? video series, filmed at the venerable indie imprint's Newtown shop in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Performing 'Moving Places' from the producer's superb 2021 debut album Two of the Same (out through Strange Behaviour), Bernard utilises a tabletop full of gear including the locally made Synthstrom Deluge (the small box with all the flashing buttons), whipping up Manuel Göttsching-levels of balearic dreaminess and showing us how it's done via deftly deployed guitar strum. Take in the clip below — filmed, edited and recorded by Lochie Noble and Ben Howe...

'Two of the Same' is out now digitally and on limited edition cassette via Strange Behaviour.
