Watch Kathy Bates Motel's Video For 'WHERE DO U GO?'
Spearheaded by Supergroove's Joe Lonie, Kathy Bates Motel's all-star membership includes singer / bassist Morgan Leary (Cindy), guitarist Jolyon Mulholland (Mulholland) and drummer Milan Borich (Pluto). The Tāmaki Makaurau group unveiled their third official single 'WHERE DO U GO?' late last week, a hip-swaying, green-eyed sixties pop duet between Lonie and Leary — launched with a candle-lit practise room vid starring Heads the cat, padding their way somewhat suspiciously through the band's vintage gear and leftover beer bottles. Feeling a teensy bit Christmasy and more than a little bittersweet, feast your eyes and ears on 'WHERE DO U GO?' below...
“This is a bent love song about dealing with heartbreak by joking about it. It’s about accepting flaws and failings within yourself and others and finding some humour and humanity in there. Where do u go? is about licking your wounds and healing, not by kidding yourself, but by looking at your pain for what it is and putting it into perspective, cutting it down to size. Even when you’re down, if you’re able to make fun of yourself, you know you’re getting better”. - Joe Lonie
'WHERE DO U GO?' is out now via major streaming services.
