Luke Buda and Fables join French For Rabbits on 'The Overflow' Nationwide Tour

French For Rabbits have got their ducks lined up for their long-awaited nationwide tour, celebrating their 2022 Taite Music Prize nominated album The Overflow, revealing this morning they'll be joined by Luke Buda and Tāmaki indie-folk artist Fables in April. Fellow Taite Prize nominee Buda's new self-titled solo record (his first in thirteen years) features a small army of special guests, including Don McGlashan, Fat Freddys Drop's Joe Lindsay and Toby Laing, Riki Gooch, all the members of The Phoenix Foundation (of whom he is co-founder), novelist Damien Wilkins and Anita Clark aka Motte — who'll be performing with the Te Whanganui-a-Tara artist on violin, keys and harmonies for three tour dates.  Marvellously in sync with today's tour news, the pair star in a new Virtual In-Store video filmed for Flying Out, playing three songs from BUDA...

"On a strangely hot and stuffy Wellington afternoon in March, while the kids next door sprayed each other with the hose and jumped on the trampoline shrieking, Anita and I (high as kites on the last of our Adrenochrome) winged our way through a few songs at Christmas Studio. Afterwards I put too much reverb on everything because all I really want to do is float around in a hazy daze. Thanks for everything. Buda."
