Bulletbelt have been keeping fans enthralled with video teasers for their forthcoming new vocalist, the veteran Te Whanganui-a-Tara metal unit's sixth (!) lead singer since getting the unstoppable sonic juggernaut underway in 2009. The band's founder Steve Francis, Tim Mekalick and Josh O’Brien have revealed Diego Attinger is picking up the lofty mantle of Bulletbelt vocalist, as the group are about to reenter the studio to record their fifth studio opus with James Goldsmith — the follow up to 2020's fearsome long player Warlords. Francis shared his excitement about working alongside Attinger and gave us the lowdown on what we can look forward to from Bulletbelt...

"We hunted him down because we were so impressed with his unbelievable vocal range, as well as his commitment, professionalism and strong work ethic. While his versatile range can easily handle all of our old material, it also gives us the opportunity to expand our sound in some exciting new directions.

We have ten songs demoed and we’re heading into Massey Studios, in Wellington, to record our fifth full-length album. James Goldsmith, who co-produced Warlords with us, is returning as producer."
