Listen To Daffodils' Single 'How Do You Know?'
Launched during last week's flurry of post-Orange setting announcements before the long weekend, Tāmaki Makaurau indie-pop foursome Daffodils unveiled the confident first cut from their forthcoming Stay The Night EP. Angular, rhythmically punchy and melodically rich, 'How Do You Know?' could be the anthemic soundtrack to a heart-wrenching teen romance / melodrama. Deep-toned singer Theodore Salmon croons on the lovelorn track "There's a hole in my head that I fill / Alone in my room," alluding to cycles of substance abuse as a solitary coping mechanism, rammed home with a gloriously epic and nimble closing solo. Jumping the ditch this week for shows in Sydney and Melbourne, we'll be keen to hear more from Daffodils when the full EP drops on 17th June...
'How Do You Know?' is out now on major streaming services.
