Listen To Luke Buda and Anita Clark's Live Session For RNZ
Ever-dapper co-founder of The Phoenix Foundation, Luke Buda gave RNZ listeners a special sneak preview of his forthcoming Buda Plays Buda tour, playing a live session last weekend with bandmate and regular collaborator Anita Clark (Motte). Chatting candidly with host Charlotte Ryan and performing an intimate, stripped-back selection of tunes from his third solo album (and more) Buda and Clark sound lush and graceful as they unfurl 'Don't Think In Bed', 'I'm A Bit Out Of Shape', 'Candy' and 'Special Surprise' in the RNZ Wellington studio — with the cherry on top being a dream-pop take on Roxette's 1987 hit 'It Must Have Been Love'.
The 2022 Taite Music Prize finalist's long-awaited nationwide tour with Clark begins this Thursday 7th July at Te Whanganui-a-Tara's Vogelmorn Hall, concluding in Oamaru on Sunday. Secure your spot, grab yourself some swish Buda merch and listen up to RNZ Live: Luke Buda over on their site HERE.
