Erny Belle and Delaney Davidson Chat in New 'Under Cover' Episode + Perform Each Other's Songs

Banished Music's ongoing web series Under Cover is back, treating viewers to candid conversational encounters between some of Aotearoa's finest musical talents. The new episode showcases none other than Lyttelton legend Delaney Davidson sitting down for an affable chinwag with rising Tāmaki / Maungaturoto songwriting star Erny Belle aka Aimee Renata (Ngāpuhi). Fast friends since they first met at a Marlon Williams gig at The Hollywood Avondale, they returned to the plush suburban theatre to share stories from their own personal musical journeys, early obsessions, hidden skills, future divinations and beautifully reimagined renditions of each other's tunes.

Clearly at home in The Hollywood's historic surrounds, Davidson rattled off a splendid solo version of Erny Belle’s already timeless 2021 single 'Hell Hole', while Renata and band in turn brought their own magic to Davidson’s 'Something's Wrong', from his 2015 album Lucky Guy.
