Watch Desbot's Video For 'Moonlit Forest'

The project of Jakob bassist Maurice Beckett, keys player Nick Blow and drummer Tom Pierard, Napier's Desbot have unveiled the opening track for the group's forthcoming debut album Pass Of Change, set to release this October. Instrumental single 'Moonlit Forest' launches with meditative visuals shot within native bush, amplifying further the track's panoramic and textural qualities as it escalates in scope — unleashing almost surprisingly bone-crushing sludgy riffs and mammoth synth melodies worthy of an IMAX cinema title sequence. We've got eight more tracks to look forward to on the new record — scope out the full tracklist below, experience the shadowy audio-visual majesty of 'Moonlit Forest' and don't miss Beckett performing with Jakob at Pōneke's San Fran on 12th November...

"More than anything, the central theme of Pass of Change relates to our process; it's essentially a lockdown album that we wrote in isolation... Rather than having a premeditated theme the music ends up being a reflection of our combined lived experience – we've all had a fairly turbulent time emotionally over the last two years and the music tells that story." — Tom Pierard

'Pass Of Change' releases on Friday 14th October via Art As Catharsis.
