Jenny Don't and The Spurs Announce Debut New Zealand Shows

Chris Cudby / Tuesday 11th October, 2022 1:00PM

Portland's rockin' and rollin' country / western foursome Jenny Don't and The Spurs have announced their debut visit to Aotearoa, barreling into the super city for headline dates at Whammy Back Room, Kumeu Live and Piha RSA in November. Formed in 2012 "one cold, winter’s evening" by Jenny (of garage punks DON'T) and Kelly Halliburton (Pierced Arrows, P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S.), and fast affirming their world-class rep with the addition of Sam Henry (Wipers, The Rats) on drums, and later Christopher March on second guitar, the cowpunk superstars have unleashed three studio long players so far, including 2021's Fire on the Ridge.

Original drummer Henry sadly passed away from cancer earlier this year, but the group have resolved to celebrate his creative legacy by continuing to play together, stating "The search for a new drummer turned up a lot of candidates, but it was veteran Portland musician Dean Miles who made the cut as the newest family member, and we know that Sam would be proud to know that a guy as cool as Dean is sitting behind the kit." Go catch the revamped Jenny Don't & The Spurs lineup busting out their big-hearted anthems at the dates below...
