Heading our way in December for a trifecta of gigs happening at Tāmaki Makaurau's Whammy Bar, Leigh and Piha RSA, NYC rockin' blues outfit DADDY LONG LEGS are not to be missed. Hailed as "My favorite rompin’ stompin’ New York band of the moment" by the legendary Lenny Kaye, it should surprise nobody that the foursome of Brian Hurd, Murat Akturk, Josh Styles and new member Dave Klein know more than a thing or two about Aotearoa's rich garage punk history. Drummer / percussionist / DJ and record collector Styles generously reflected on some of his favourite in-the-red kiwi classics, an infamous rock moment in NZ, plus a bonus Antipodean horror flick that's too good to leave out.
