Watch Swallow The Rat's Video For 'Other Rooms' feat. Yuko Miyoshi (Memory Foam)

Tāmaki Makaurau's affable noisemakers Swallow the Rat have teamed up with Yuko Miyoshi of Memory Foam to unleash the video for their latest face-melter ‘Other Rooms’. Flexing not only their talent as songwriters, the band have also kept the video production in-house, with drummer Hayden Fritchley presiding over filming and editing duties. The result is an audio-visual bi-lingual barrage! Miyoshi delivers a vaguely unsettling monologue in Japanese to a chugging tempo, ramping up to a frenetic climax driven by a bass tone that sounds like a very angry Barry White yelling over the top of a chainsaw.

‘Other Rooms’ will be released on 7” lathe cut vinyl featuring the flip-side track ‘Realised’ and a very special in-the-red / sonic hellscape mix by Oliver Ackermann of A Place To Bury Strangers (order your copy HERE).
