Haz & Miloux Return With Single / Video ‘Three’
Haz & Miloux's Tūī award-winning Blonde EP was a groove-packed local highlight of 2019, and now Haz Beats (Harry Huavi) and Miloux (Rebecca Melrose) are back with 'Three', the lead cut from the Tāmaki Makaurau duo's forthcoming second EP Brunette. Awash with shimmering synths, punchy percussion, hazy late nite melodies and Miloux's soulful and soaring vocal skills, 'Three' is out today with a behind the scenes studio video, deftly directed / produced by Connor Pritchard and made with support from NZ On Air — hit play below...
“'Three' is about mutually being in a rebound situation and craving the immediate intimacy and closeness of what you've just lost, but ultimately realising you just craved some validation and some escapism. It's about knowing that you would always keep this person at arm's length and never truly invest any further (go up then I reach for the fall, soon I'll leave you with nothing at all)." — Miloux
"Like most of our songs we create it always starts with the loop... which for 'Three' was just some nice Rhodes chords I processed with some effects. We laid down some demo vocals, structured it a bit & sent it to my bro Frank Keys to add to the bass line. Once that was all done we took it to Bigpop to record & mix everything.” — Haz Beats
'Three' is out today on major streaming services via Bigpop Records.
