Ahead of their first ever visit to Aotearoa, we invited Jeff Mueller of Louisville, Kentucky post-rock collective June of 44 to name his personal favourite songs from Jo44's vastly influential, five studio album back catalogue...
I tried to be concise, difficult to pick just one track off of each album — we’ve always sought consensus while curating our live sets, fortunately, there have only been a few instances where a specific song didn’t make the cut. I tend to hold the songs that felt like breakthroughs in the highest regard — ones that expanded our range of possibility. I’m confident each of our lists would look fairly different — as each of our contributions to this music is steeped deep in its own personal approach and experience. Looking forward to NEW ZEALAND!
