Guitar Wolf vs The D4 'Clash Of The Titans' Auckland Show Announced
Tāmaki Makaurau's Big Fan will play host to an epic battle for quite possibly the very fate of the universe itself, when Japanese garage rock gods Guitar Wolf collide with Aotearoa's legendary The D4 on 2nd April. Evenly matched in the red hot riffs department, these old mates have been sparring on-stage together for more than two decades — this time around, punters of all ages can witness the nigh-mythological mayhem within the super city suburb of Morningside, exploding into action at the reasonable Sunday evening time of 6.30pm. This thrill-powered Clash Of The Titans is happening when both Pacific Rim fuzz-rockin' warriors' individual tours intersect in March, directly following their Raglan gig together on the Saturday with CINDY — grip the updated details below...

Press release:
Since their first battle nearly a quarter of a century ago ..... in a pre innernet, pre social mediocrity, pre pan doomic world at Auckland's Kings Arms - The D4 and Guitar Wolf have been rock and roll adversaries clashing numerous times , but always remaining friends. No one has ever kept score but the energy between the two forces of supernatural atomic like power has been fierce. You may recall the fight for Rangitoto when Guitar Wolf travelled through a network of subterranean tunnels from Tokyo to Auckland to surprise attack the D4, and later the following year when Dion masterminded the D4 inter dimensional mind and body transference to take Tokyo Tower (in a pair of VERY expensive jeans!)
Now in 2023 - these titans cross paths again in the south pacific for the fight for supremacy of rock and roll in the south Pacific. Like two dormant kaiju waking from a giant slumber heeding, and screeching the call for RAAWKKK, the battlefield has been chosen for the last time. These alchemists of electricity will scorch the Auckland landscape from Big Fan in Morningside owned by music giant, Mr Little.
It's an early show (6-30pm doors) and ALL AGES and licensed - so old people can imbibe - children can tell their friends at school the next day - and you can say you were there.
