Watch Guardian Singles' Animated Video For New Single 'Manic Attraction'

Samantha Cheong / Thursday 27th April, 2023 2:58PM

Tāmaki post-punk all stars Guardian Singles — Thom Burton (Crash Teslas), Fiona Campbell (Vivian Girls, Coolies), Durham Fenwick (Green Grove) and Yolanda Fagan (Na Noise, Half Hexagon, Echo Ohs, Bozo) — today release ‘Manic Attraction’, the latest single from their upcoming album Feed Me To The Doves, out on May 26th via Chicago imprint Trouble In Mind Records. Amongst the snappy gats, acidic lyrics and brash drums that attack our senses, the accompanying '80s Eastern European animation-inspired video leaves us with the burn of acid rain in its worries of noxious conspiracy theories and reasoning that’s “gone out the window” — produced and animated by Luke McPake, and made with the support of NZ On Air. Recently spotted tearing up Karangahape Road's Las Vegas Club and rumoured to be unveiling a fresh live lineup soon, divert your own manic panic by preordering the limited Whirlpool Blue swirl vinyl LP edition of the new record HERE, and hit play on ‘Manic Attraction’ below…

'Feed Me To The Doves' releases on Friday 26th May via Trouble in Mind — vinyl LP and compact disc orders available HERE.
