C.R. Avery Announces 'The Bar Without A Neon Sign' Auckland Film Screening

Canadian poet / musician / filmmaking dynamo C.R. Avery returns to Aotearoa later this month for a nationwide tour with his band The Storm Collective, marking the official release of the soundtrack to his self-directed motion picture The Bar Without A Neon Sign via 07:17 Records. Winner of Best Score at the Golden Horse International Film Festival 2022, the polymathic artist's new feature film is intriguingly described as "an Operetta of Boom inspired by Beyoncé’s Lemonade and Dylan’s Renaldo & Clara". Avery has organised a special Auckland premiere screening of the flick the night before his tour begins, showing at The Capitol Cinema on Dominion Road and followed by a Q& A with the man himself.
