Jujulipps Shares Debut EP 'Get That Shot' + Video

“This ain’t a phase, this right here’s a career” raps Tāmaki Makaurau hip hop artist Jujulipps in her latest music video for ‘Get That Shot', the opener and namesake for her fresh debut EP via BigPop Records. 2023 has certainly been the year of Jujulipps, who's taken big swings with her SRN Award win for Favourite Single/ Te Tōtahi Toa with ‘Airplane Mode’ and main character performances (like at this year’s APRA Silver Scrolls). The visuals for 'Get That Shot' was directed by Tom Grut and made with the support of NZ On Air — the lunar background in which Jujulipps stands before marks her “rise to confidence when people are trying to dim your light." She spits out one-liners that leave you on the edge of your seat with quick witted imagery and rapping prowess. Her first extended play also features Hot 20 NZ Single ‘Saucy' and the knockout groundshaker of ‘One Two One Two’, plus the prime percussion of ‘Special!’ served up on a tectonic plate.

She’ll be stirring our hips at Tāmaki's The Others Way festival in just over a week (check out the timetable HERE). With high profile gigging credits including CubaDupa and SXSW, and opening for the likes of Sudan Archives, Jujulipps is a fierce performer that is inciting Aotearoa with sonics that pay tribute to her roots in Burundi and the Congo.
