Naarm new wave synth-punks Dr Sure's Unusual Practice are the latest in an onslaught of overseas acts revealed to be playing at Camp A Low Hum festival in Wainuiomata this summer — ensuring MicroKorg keyboards will be present as tradition dictates. Emanating antipodean Numan-esque vibrations on 'Outside Looking In', standout single from the group's 2023 album / mixtape BUBBLE, the multi-media collective are making the most of their first ever visit to Aotearoa with a pair of unofficial CALH sideshows in Te Whanganui-a-Tara and Te Papaioea. Naarm/Melbourne's Dr Sure’s Unusual Practice, make modern punk music in the primordial sense of the word - no rules. Combining elements of synth-punk, new wave, full power rock n roll, avant-garde and surrealism.
