Soaked Oats are stretching out in early 2024, road-testing and perhaps even stress-testing songs set to appear on their as-yet-untitled forthcoming second album with an intimate run of headline shows around the motu. On the absolute ripper lineup for Ōhinehou / Lyttelton's Port Noise festival as well as the extraordinarily mysterious double weekend Camp A Low Hum bill, The Oats - No. 2 Experiments tour will find the sonic travelling Aotearoa collective performing at very specific times in Tāmaki Makaurau, Whanganui, Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Onekakā, Paparoa / Barrytown, Ōtautahi, Ōamaru and Ōtepoti. Grip official details below, nab tickets for these cosy gigs while you can, and look forward to new tunes aplenty from Soaked Oats in March...

Press release:

We’re gonna put on some different kinds of shows around the place in March. They’re to do with the next album, so those’ll be the songs and that’ll be the world. The shows are mainly happening in community halls as we’re trying something new out beyond the songs.

There’s timings on the map (except for the festival shows) so if you’re coming you’ll need to arrive at that time or before. We’ll watch the sun go down, then we’ll go in, shut the doors and perform.

These shows’ll be small, intimate things, sometimes on the ground, sometimes standing, hopefully hovering. Tickets are $15 / $20 on the door, tried to keep that accessible, hopefully it is. Msg us if you really want to come but can’t afford.

Ring 0800 472 311 if you want to add to the whole thing, leave a whisper.
