Amiria Grenell Announces 'The Winter Light' Album Release Tour
With leaves set to fall, 2011 Best Folk Album Tūī Award winner Amiria Grenell is going on a nationwide tour for her forthcoming studio album The Winter Light. Nearly a decade following her 2015 long player Autumn, the Ōtautahi songwriter is set to release her new record on 15th March after the beauty of last year's single ‘Romeo’. Produced over three years with longtime collaborator Ryan Fisherman at his home studio The Hut and Grenell's own lounge, keep an ear out for strings by Tristan Carter and Charley Davenport, and slide guitar by Simon Gregory — amongst a talented cast of contributors also including Holly Arrowsmith and Jonty O'Connor. Grenell is a touring veteran who splits the yolk of folk and country music, with band credits including The Swan Sisters, Coyote and Your Indigo. She'll be playing as a duo with Ryan Fisherman for the full tour, supported by Amy Grace (The Swan Sisters) for the southern shows. Grenell will likely return to the safety of nature after this tour, be sure to catch her before then and hit play on latest single 'Lanterns'…
